History of NorthTulsa100

NorthTulsa100 was founded June 8, 2013 as a result of prayer. The founder/organizer is Rev. Donna Jackson, M.Div.

The primary vision is to open 100 new and viable businesses and companies (brick and mortar) in North Tulsa by the 100th Anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921. The first official meeting of NorthTulsa100 took place October 2013.

NorthTulsa100, Inc., believes there is no greater way to commemorate the passage of 100 years since the Tulsa Race Massacre than with the establishment of 100 new businesses and companies in North Tulsa.
We not only advocate for business enterprises, but we promote, encourage, support and assist for the betterment of our community and its citizens.

As North Tulsa companies are established we count them as part of the 100 companies, as well as creating companies from our organization. Each of these companies will be included in the 100th Anniversary commemoration.

On the 93rd Anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921, we launched NorthTulsa100, Inc., May 31, and June 1, 2014. This was the 1st Annual Awards Gala, where we recognized 10 North Tulsa organizations for their work and contributions to the community.

We received our 501(c)3 tax exempt status March 2015, and currently collaborating with various individuals, businesses and community groups.
